White House Conference on Cyber-Bullying Prevention

Today, March 10 at 10:30am EST the President, First Lady, the Department of Education, and the Department of Health and Human Services will welcome students, parents, and teachers to the White House for a Conference on Cyber-Bullying Prevention. Cyber bullying is bullying through digital communication technologies such as emails, instant messaging, text-messages, digital photos, web postings, and other means of electronic communications. The conference begins with opening remarks by The President and the First Lady on bullying prevention.

Cyber-bullying uses the new forms of digital communication technologies to repeatedly harass others. A cyber-bully is someone who uses technology to harass, embarrass, intimidate, or stalk someone else. The methods used can include emails, instant messaging, text-messages, digital photos and all other means of electronic communications.
